MFAN Members Present at Minnesota CLE

At an all-day Minnesota CLE seminar entitled “Starting Your Own Solo or Small Firm” on March 19, 2014, MFAN members Emerald Gratz and Karin Ciano presented a 45-minute breakout session about freelance attorneys. The session, titled “Working as (or Hiring) a Freelance Attorney,” was a panel presentation in conjunction with attorney Craig Trepanier of Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A. During the presentation, Emerald and Karin shared information and examples from their work as freelance attorneys, and addressed several ethics topics relevant to attorneys interested in seeking help from a freelance attorney, including billing, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest. Overall, the CLE presentation was a great success. MFAN thanks Minnesota CLE for the invitation and great discussion!
